some sixteen years back
on a Sunday morning in early spring,

tingly and numb
with a pain the same
as when your foot falls asleep
from my rib cage down.
I was 21
Unable to stand
Scared out of my mind.

Oh what a scary moment, River. And so young. I am having a serious problem with my left leg these days, so can relate. But at my time of life one expects to have these difficulties. Glad you have kept on walking regardless.
